Guide on auto-tagging people in your media

Known issues:

Only works on image files
(photos and raw files). Video files tagging coming soon.
Requires a valid PhotoLog subscription (active or trialing).
Media tagging might wrongly tag people media files are blurry or people were not initially tagged in enough files.

Prerequisites:

People who are tagged need to have a PhotoLog account and be part of one of your studios or groups.
(Non PhotoLog account tagging comming soon).

Steps:
Step 1: Upload your media

Go to https://portal.photolog.cloud and log into your account
Create a new gallery or select an already existing one
Upload your media into the selected gallery

Step 2: Manually tagging people for AI training

Once your media has been uploaded, click on the top right side burger menu and go to "Media manager",

Go through the media files and use the yellow "tag" button to tag the people in a few files. Only tag people in individual photos. Group photos will not work correctly.

Step 3: Triggering the AI tagging

Once you have tagged people in enough photos, click on the top right side burger menu and go to "Galleries manager"
Use the green "tag" button on the galleries you want the AI to start auto tagging media files to queue up the tagging process. This process can take a few minutes to a day.

What do you do with my media files?

We analyze your content to be able to provide the media culling services PhotoLog has to offer.

All trained AI models are specific to your subscription and will never be used for cross-subscription analsys or touched by another human.

However your original data is retained and you can always download it.

What kind of media files do you support?

We currently support the following media (more to come in the future):

For photos: jpg, jpeg, png

For videos: rm*, ram*, mp4, ogg, webm

For RAWs**: tif, cr2, nef, x3f, dng

* Cannot be viewed using the online player. To view these files, you will have to download them locally.

** Only a thumbnail is visible online. To view them at full quality you will need to download them.

Can I upload *any* kind of media content?

Generally yes, however you still need to own it and not infringe any laws, otherwise we might be forced to terminate your account.

Is my info safe with you?

All our data is encrypted, moreover, we do not process your billing info. It does not even touch our servers.
All your billing info is processed by our payment processor Stripe.

Is my data visible anywhere?

Your data is only visible by default to the people with whom you share your subscription with.

People outside your subscription cannot see your photos unless you specifically allow them to.

Do you sell or do anything with the data I upload?

Short answer: NO!

The data you upload is yours only.

Glitch Media owns 100% of this platform so we don't have any ulterior motives as no one tells us what to do with your data.

We have a proven track record for years of keeping our customers data safe and not sell it to other parties.
