Mastering PhotoLog's AI-Powered Auto Tagging Feature
Guide on auto-tagging people in your media
Known issues:
- Only works on image files
(photos and raw files). Video files tagging coming soon. - Requires a valid PhotoLog subscription (active or trialing).
- Media tagging might wrongly tag people media files are blurry or people were not initially tagged in enough files.
Prerequisites:
- People who are tagged need to have a PhotoLog account and be part of one of your studios or groups.
(Non PhotoLog account tagging comming soon).
Steps:
Step 1: Upload your media

- Go to https://portal.photolog.cloud and log into your account
- Create a new gallery or select an already existing one
- Upload your media into the selected gallery

Step 2: Manually tagging people for AI training
- Once your media has been uploaded, click on the top right side burger menu and go to "Media manager",

- Go through the media files and use the yellow "tag" button to tag the people in a few files. Only tag people in individual photos. Group photos will not work correctly.


Step 3: Triggering the AI tagging
- Once you have tagged people in enough photos, click on the top right side burger menu and go to "Galleries manager"
- Use the green "tag" button on the galleries you want the AI to start auto tagging media files to queue up the tagging process. This process can take a few minutes to a day.
