All your data is encrypted and decrypted on your device using AES 256 encryption algorithm. Additionally, the key is never sent to PhotoLog servers or anywhere on the network, so no one apart from you can view what your upload unless you share your encryption password.
Every album can have a different encryption password.
Make sure you don't lose your encryption password, otherwise you won't be able to recover your data. PhotoLog staff can not recover encrypted data if the encryption password is lost.
We require you to provide us with a valid email address and billing information (processed by Stripe). However, all your media can be client-side encrypted making it impossible for anyone (including PhotoLog staff) to access it without your decryption key.
If you want to use PhotoLog 100% anonymously, you can also pay by crypto.

Absolutely nothing. Your media is yours and yours alone.
We currently support the following media (more to come in the future):
For photos: jpg, jpeg, png
For videos: rm*, ram*, mp4, ogg, webm
For RAWs**: tif, cr2, nef, x3f, dng
* Cannot be viewed using the online player. To view these files, you will have to download them locally.
** Only a thumbnail is visible online. To view them at full quality you will need to download them.

Generally yes, however you still need to own it and not infringe any laws, otherwise we might be forced to terminate your account.

All our data is encrypted, moreover, we do not process your billing info. It does not even touch our servers.
All your billing info is processed by our payment processor Stripe.
Your data is only visible by default to the people with whom you share your subscription with.
People outside your subscription cannot see your photos unless you specifically allow them to.

The data you upload is yours only.
Glitch Media owns 100% of this platform so we don't have any ulterior motives as no one tells us what to do with your data.
We have a proven track record for years of keeping our customers data safe and not sell it to other parties.
Currently the default maximum upload file size allowed is 100Mb.
If you believe you need more, please send us an email and we can try and increase your maximum upload file size.

Every account can set up two-factor authentication so that even if your password is stolen no one can access your account.
Our infrastructure is backed up every 24 hours using snapshot technology by our hosting partners.
Our databases are backed up every day. Backups are encrypted and stored off site.
All of your uploaded data is stored in multiple encrypted places to make sure you never lose it.
